My family's experience at the Diamond Motel was wonderful! Howie was such a gracious, friendly host. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained for the age, and everything was in working order. The area was quiet and felt safe. The location of the motel is really convenient from I-70, so it's a perfect stopover on a trip across Kansas.

Super friendly owner, the motel is a great tribute to when motels were more popular. The motel owner made a number of updates 2-3 years ago. It feels safe and is set in a neighborhood, one of which is the historic district with beautiful old homes and lots of sidewalks to go walking.
Clean rooms. Beautiful decor, down to the green doors and beautiful gray walls. Lovely area in a small town. Would highly recommend. The owner Howie is very homely and makes you feel very welcomed.
The owner was very polite and friendly. Our room was clean, updated, the bed was really comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Not only did it have the best reviews for Abilene but it was extremely affordable. We did not have breakfast as we elected to go to a local diner, but if we come back to Abilene we will certainly stay here!
An excellent, clean, comfortable, stylish, motel in a nice quiet neighborhood. Friendly and welcoming staff- even at one A.M. Such a wonderful value! So much better than any of the motels nearby or in Salida. They even allow dogs - not that you could tell it was so clean! I look forward to staying here again-what a great find!!! I highly recommend this place.
